Think on This ...

Do not hold resentment. Do not get so mad at times when things are a little wrong. Remember that others have as much right to their opinions as self, but that there IS a level from which all may work together for good.

*SPECIAL NOTICE - WEDNESDAY, JUNE 2, 2010*

BECAUSE THERE HAS BEEN SO MUCH CONTROVERSY GENERATED BY MY OFFER FOR PEOPLE TO LISTEN TO THE ORION SONGS AND DECIDE FOR THEMSELVES IF THEY HEAR ALL ELVIS, SOME ELVIS,  OR NO ELVIS...I HAVE DECIDED TO GIVE EACH PERSON THIS ADMONITION:

PLEASE JUST TAKE THE POSSIBLILITY OF ELVIS' VOICE TOTALLY OUT OF THE PICTURE (EVEN THOUGH ELVIS/JESSE, HIMSELF, HAS STATED THAT HE DID DO SOME OF THE SONGS).  AFTER ELIMINATING THE POSSIBILTY THAT ELVIS DID SING, JUST READ OVER ALL OF THE OTHER CORRELATIONS BETWEEN ELVIS AND THE NAME ORION (THE SINGER - THE TIMELINE OF ELVIS RELATED EVENTS, ORION PICTURES, ORION i.e. THE PUBLISHERS, ETC.) AND YOU WILL FIND THAT I HAVE PROVIDED AN  IMPRESSIVE ARRAY OF DOCUMENTED MATERIAL.

WHAT I HAVE DISPLAYED SO FAR IS NOT ALL OF THE THREAD OF CONTINUITY WHICH RUNS THROUGHOUT THE ON-GOING  ORION CORRELATIONS i.e.. MOVIES, ETC.

PLUS I HAVE A TAPE OF A PRIVATE CONVERSATION WHICH ELVIS HAD BACK IN THE '70'S BEFORE AUGUST, 1977.  ON THAT TAPE, ELVIS SAYS SOMETHING THAT LINKS HIM DIRECTLY WITH THE NAME "ORION".  I WON'T MAKE THE CONTENTS OF THIS TAPE AVAILABLE BECAUSE THE CRITICS WOULD JUMP ALL OVER ME FOR BELIEVING WHAT ELVIS, HIMSELF, SAID.

I DO APOLOGIZE TO THE LOYAL JIMMY ELLIS FANS WHO HAVE BEEN OFFENDED BY THE MENTION OF ELVIS DOING SOME OF THE SONGS ATTRIBUTED TO JIMMY ELLIS.  JIMMY ELLIS WAS AN EXTREMELY TALENTED MAN.  I DO UNDERSTAND HIS FRIENDS AND FANS BEING LOYAL TO HIM.  ELVIS/JESSE AND I BOTH HOLD LOYALTY AS A VERY VALUABLE TRAIT IN PEOPLE.  IF JIMMY ELLIS DID PROVIDE A COVER FOR ELVIS ON OCCASION, THEN HE WAS MY HERO TOO.  MY INTENT HAS NEVER BEEN TO TAKE ANYTHING AWAY FROM JIMMY ELLIS.

THANK YOU EACH FOR READING AND TAKING THE ABOVE INTO CONSIDERATION.

 IMPORTANT NEWS

THURSDAY, MAY 13, 2010

Elvis/Jesse and I did discuss the Orion the singer / Orion Pictures topics.  He answered me with an emphatic "YES!!" when I told him that I believed that some of the Orion songs were done by him.  So, now we do know for sure.  I have always known in my heart and mind that I was right about that.  I asked him about my having the Orion topics on my web site and he responded favorably.

From time to time, I plan to add some more information regarding the Elvis - Orion Pictures connection.  If one invests the time to explore this with an open mind, some very amazing facts are to be found.

NEWS: TUESDAY, MARCH 9, 2010

Today, I have completed my new page which I began last Saturday.  There is a lot of information but it should be worth the visitor’s time.

Today I completed another new page lindahoodsigmontruth.com/page43

Page 43 is devoted to a display of items which document everything on page 42.  Page 42 is a very long text page, but please do take the time to read and go to page 43 for the items to back up the statements on page 42.

I honestly feel that this will be an eye opener for anyone who starts with an open mind and some time they are willing to spend to learn about the things Elvis probably was involved in after 1977.

Also, those who attacked me so angrily in response to the information which I displayed on page 42, should perhaps come away with an understanding of the background knowledge upon which I based my display about Jesse Garon Presley in the "Thanks" credits for "Coffee and Cigarettes".  That is if they stop ripping me apart long enough to spend a little time educating themselves.  Remember, no one ever learned anything while they were talking or in this case, typing.

EXPLANATION: MONDAY, MARCH 8, 2010
Below you will see that someone has posted an article "discrediting" what I wrote regarding the fact that Jesse Garon Presley was listed in the credits of the movie "Coffee and Cigarettes".  I apologize to one and all that I have not watched this movie.  I didn't intend to give the impression that I had watched it.  I simply wanted to draw the connection between Jesse Garon Presley in the credits and Mr. Jarmusch's other movie "Mystery Train" which is an Orion movie.  It was because of his earlier working association with Orion Pictures, that I felt he perhaps has some inside information about Jesse Garon Presley.
This, in no way, discredits the remainder of the facts in my article regarding "ORION".  I plan to begin today posting copies from the albums, VHS boxes, news articles, etc. which will document the rest of this article.
I do still stand behind my statement that Mr. Jarmusch probably knows some background information about the fact that there is a definite connection between Orion Pictures and Elvis.
Following is their article along with a link to their site.  You will also see my response to them.  I am aware that my response to them may not make it through their "moderation"...thus why I am posting my response on here.

QUESTION: HOW IS IT THAT LINDA HOOD SIGMON FAILS TO MENTION IMPORTANT FACTS  ON HER WEBSHITE????????
Just took a visit to Linda Hood Sigmons WEBSHITE anyone who believes her needs to see a Doctor. Linda still finds lots to write about and seems to have a great nack in twisting things to suit her and her Jesse story. Linda has a tunnel vision insight in what she sees as truth and as she  has nothing better to do but devote her life to madman who plays Jesse. She still manages to  gather meanings and contribute them to almost anything regarding HER Elvis is alive claims.
…………………………………………………………………………………..
However if she took the time to research better with what would be hoped a peripheral vision! (although considering her past heap of posts this is forever unlikley to happen),she would know that her claim that Jesse Garon Presley was mentioned in the film credits of the film ‘Coffee and Cigerettes’ 1989 do not connect to anything she claims and the fact that Jesse Garon is mentioned in the credits section  IS because one story in the film is about Elvis having an evil twin,so if you watch the film in full you would know that the premise of the story was only a what if? scenaorio and that no malice was intended and that it was only right to pay a mention/RESPECT to Elvis’S brother in credits, with not a thanks beside the name but respects, as is mentioned beside Otis blackwell for him also being mentioned in the film.

One of the plot segments is ;
TWINS:
Originally the 1989 short Coffee and Cigarettes, Memphis Version – aka Coffee and Cigarettes II – this segment features Joie Lee and Cinqué Lee as the titular twins and Steve Buscemi as the waiter who expounds on his theory on Elvis Presley’s evil twin. Cinqué Lee also appears in “Jack Shows Meg his Tesla Coil”. The scene also features a recounting of the urban legend that Elvis racistly disparaged African-Americans in a magazine interview at one time

TRY TO GET A GRIP ON REALITY LINDA!

A SMALL SECTION OF WHAT LINDA HOOD SIGMON SAID ON HER WEBSHITE REGARDING THIS FILM
‘The reason that Mr. Jarmusch’s mention of Jesse Garon Presley in the list of “THANKS” is so significant is because Mr. Jarmusch  was the director and writer of another movie titled “Mystery Train” which was filmed in Memphis.  The Elvis theme is very, very strong in this movie.  This movie was released in 1989.  And guess what!!  Mystery Train was an ORION PICTURES movie!!  This is very telling to me that Mr. Jarmusch may have some insight into things which caused him to choose to list Jesse Garon Presley in the list of crew in the THANKS section.’ Linda Hood Sigmon’ webshite
LINDA SEEMS TO NOT LIKE ANYONE WHO HAS ANYTHING TO SAY REGARDS HER WEBSHITE AND SUGGESTS TO ALL WHO DON’T BELIEVE TO NEVER VISIT HER SHITE, HOWEVER IT IS WRONG AS IT IS DISRESPECTABLE TO ELVIS HIS FRIENDS AND FAMILY.

I am properly embarrassed regarding the mention of Jesse in the credits. You are right, perhaps I should have viewed this movie. But, one point I want to make is that this one error does not in any way diminish the other facts mentioned in my article which can definitely be proven true for those who are interested enough in Elvis/Jesse to take the time to check the facts out for yourself.
I DO WANT TO MAKE ONE FACT PERFECTLY CLEAR. YOUR ATTACKS UPON ME WILL DO YOU NO GOOD IN THE LONG RUN. I WILL NOT BE FREIGHTENED, INTIMIDATED NOR THREATENED IN ANY WAY BY YOUR EFFORTS TO DISCREDIT ME.
YOUR DISPLAY OF THIS ERROR IN NO WAY DIMINISHES THE FACT THAT ELVIS IN ALIVE, HE IS JESSE, HE AND I HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT BEGINNING IN 1992, HE KNOWS OF MY WEB SITE, I HAVE HIS APPROVAL OF MY SITE, AND I STAND FIRMLY ON MY MATERIAL.
I find it ludicrous that YOU do all of your work, hiding behind “anonymous” or some silly name like “Mattie Hatter”. If you are so very proud of yourself and your actions toward me, create a site or blog of your own and post your identity on the front page as I have done with mine.
Please note:  I had a short paragraph here in which I named those who are probably so involved in attempting to discredit me.  One of those people contacted my web host and filed a complaint because I named her as one of those people.  Therefore, I removed all of the names in order that all of them could not group together and file individual complaints to my web host.  IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT THIS WOMAN WHO FILED THE COMPLAINT, HAS BEEN SLANDERING MY NAME ON MESSAGE BOARDS FOR A LONG TIME.

SATURDAY, MARCH 6, 2010  NEWS FLASH!!!
I believe you will find the following information interesting.
I forgot earlier today that many of the visitors to this site are not aware of my material regardingOrion Pictures from back in the days before and during the time that I was researching and publishing my newsletter.
I don't want to bore anyone with the intricacies relating to Orion the singer, Orion Pictures, Elvis/Jesse.  But, it is such a vital portion of the Elvis/Jesse's post-1977 story.
In a nut shell, it was and still is my belief that Elvis/Jesse used Mr. Ellis as a cover sometimes to record and perform as "Orion".  Significantly, Orion Pictures stepped up their activity at about the same time that Orion, the singer, was fading out for a time.
There is a reason for believing that when the singer more or less faded, that Orion Pictures took up the Elvis theme and continued it on for many years.
One of the most significant things relating to Orion Pictures is that in 1985, they released a movie on August 16th.  The title of this movie is "RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD"...DID THAT GRAP YOUR ATTENTION?
Then, when Orion Pictures was on the verge of going into Chapter 11 bankruptcy, the announcement was made on August 16th.  Kind of similar to one's death, wouldn't you say?! lindahoodsigmontruth.com/page43
Orion Pictures was acquired by or merged with MGM lindahoodsigmontruth.com/page43  which, at some point in time, had Priscilla Presley on the board of directors.  I'm not sure if she is still with them or not. Also, the movie "Breathless" was released on home video two times...once by Orion and then by MGM.  See the copy of the back which shows the one which was released by MGM.  There you can see both companies listed.lindahoodsigmontruth.com/page43 In 1989, when Gail's book and her appearances on TV had reached the peak of acclaim, Orion Pictures released the biography of Jerry Lee Lewis titled "Great Balls of Fire".  lindahoodsigmontruth.com/page43This movie about Jerry Lee Lewis takes it all full circle back to the beginning of the Orion the singer stage of activity.
Sun Records in Nashville, then owned by Shelby Singleton, first released an album titled "Duets" in 1978.  lindahoodsigmontruth.com/page43 The songs on that album were performed by Jerry Lee Lewis and "friends".  Anyone who is a diehard Elvis fan will immediately recognize that one of the "friends" is Elvis himself.  Those songs created a huge stir when they came out in 1978.  "Save The Last Dance For Me"   was the catalyst for all of the questions and discussions. The "friend's" voice was even authenticated on one of the major network's morning news shows which indicated that it was Elvis' voice.  I am sorry that I cannot document this as I haven't a copy of the TV report.
Then things got even more complicated.  James Bacon (a famous Hollywood syndicated journalist) got involved.  He was discrediting the fact that the songs were sung by Elvis AFTER 1977...because he said that Elvis himself and Red West told him that he recorded "Save The Last Dance For Me" with Jerry Lee "to help him out". This raises several more questions: (1) Why would Elvis take the risk of doing that outside of his contract with RCA?  (2)  Having done so (outside of his contract) why would he tell a very credible journalist that he had done so?   (3) Was Elvis perhaps setting up a situation in which he could continue some of his music after August 16th, 1977?  Of course, that is one of the songs released on the "Duets" album. Mr. Bacon guesses that this song was recorded back in the 60's.  I disagree with Mr. Bacon because the songs are Elvis' voice in the 70's.  When one hears "Long Tall Sally" and "C C Rider" you would swear you were watching and hearing Elvis on stage in concert.
You can read his column from copies of two pages from Gail Brewer-Giorgio's book titled "Is Elvis Alive" pages 39 and 40. lindahoodsigmontruth.com/page43
To fully understand the cause of the commotion, one must listen to each song on which Elvis sings.  His voice is the very same on all of the songs with Jerry Lee as it is on "Save The Last Dance For Me".  Then there are other songs on which Elvis sings by himself ..."Long Tall Sally" and "C C Rider" are classics.  While some other songs on these albums are obviously NOT Elvis.lindahoodsigmontruth.com/page43 See the “Rockabilly” list of songs to see "Long Tall Sally".
Jerry Lee was once asked a question about Elvis (don't recall the question) and he responded in a peculiar way saying:  "That dead S...O...B... is still riding on my coat tails."  I have to assume that he was referring to the songs he did with "friends".
Jerry Lee also said, in an interview some years ago, "Elvis was smart.  He knew when to get out."
At the end of one of the songs, "What'd I Say", it is clearly heard that Jerry Lee says "Man you're with it tonight, Elvis!".  This is such a cute "coincidence"...that the comment is made at the end of a song titled "What'd I Say?"  Doesn't that just sound like Elvis' sense of humor!?!
You may see the list of songs on the "Duets" album cover on my document page: lindahoodsigmontruth.com/page43
After there was such a stir about the "Duets" songs, Sun Records came up with a masked singer named "Orion" who was Jimmy Ellis.  Mr. Ellis, and others involved, claimed that it was he on the songs with Jerry Lee.  That would have been well and good, except, they said it was Jerry Lee's previously recorded songs with Mr. Ellis over dubbing.  This leaves a huge question as to who Jerry Lee was talking to on "What'd I Say?". This comment by Jerry Lee is in the fade out at the very end of the song.  I had listened to that song dozens of times before I even noticed that there was a comment.  You must have the volume turned all the way up in order to hear it. If what they were saying about over dubbing was the truth, then how could Jerry Lee have been speaking to anyone??
Seems that they were having a bit of a struggle with those pesky questions about Elvis singing with Jerry Lee, doesn't it?
Now the plot thickens...Jerry Lee's song "Breathless" was released on the original Sun Record Label in Memphis in 1983 (Sam Phillips') as a special collector's edition record.  I purchased my copy at the original Sun Records studio in Memphis when we toured there.  lindahoodsigmontruth.com/page43
On the back of the album, which has the same photo of Jerry Lee on it as the earlier "Duets" album, in very tiny print in the copyright area, it shows "Orion Pictures".  "Breathless" the movie was an Orion Pictures release! You may see this greatly enlarged @ lindahoodsigmontruth.com/page43
Also, interestingly the main character in "Breathless" is named "Jesse" who is a huge Jerry Lee Lewis fan and who is "racing from his past" in a Cadillac convertible.
Another subsequent album which has Jerry Lee, Carl Perkins & Charlie Rich with "Friends" (notice plural) was put out by Sun Records in 1979.  There obviously was more than one "un-named friend" on this album titled "TRIO +".  One can tell that there are two "friends' voices".  It is my guess that one of the friends is Jimmy Ellis and the other is Elvis himself.  Again, the two songs that are without a doubt Elvis: "Be Bop A Lua" and "Money" are both done with Jerry Lee.  In my opinion, on one other song, with Charlie or Carl, one can recognize two "Friends" on the same song. Also, on the back of this album there is artwork depicting Jerry Lee, Carl and Charlie plus a silhouette of one of the "Friends" which is the profile of Elvis.  On the front of this album, there is still another picture of the three with yet another person in the shadows...but this one is not Elvis. See both sides on my document page:  lindahoodsigmontruth.com/page43
So, as I said, this all takes us full circle from the very 1st day that "Save The Last Dance For Me" came out up until the day that Orion Pictures stepped in with the new Jerry Lee Lewis thread in its movie.  Then in 1989, as I wrote earlier, Orion Pictures released Jerry Lee's biography "Great Balls of Fire". lindahoodsigmontruth.com/page43
Now, things continue to become even more complicated...if that's possible.  In 1982, there was another album released to coincide with the end of Orion the singer...at least for a time.  Guess what!!  It was titled "The Killer, The King" and some of the songs were the very same songs that had already been released on the "Duets" album and then later on the "Trio+" and the Orion albums.  This album was very impressive in its presentation...the special bi-fold cover, the color of the record itself - blue...there are no actual photos on the cover...just silhouettes of a very famous person we all know and love as well as artwork of Jerry Lee.
lindahoodsigmontruth.com/page43 You will see that I have posted MANY copies relating to this album.
I cannot stress enough how significant and important this album is.  This album should have been awarded a Grammy to say the least.  Unfortunately, the same thing happened with this wonderful album that happened with Jesse's book.  No one paid it the respect and attention which it certainly did deserve.
The big thing is that on the back of this album, there is a statement made by a gentleman named Don Tweedy who "did some arranging" for "another Rock 'N Roll great".  Mr. Tweedy does not write Elvis' name but one has no trouble whatsoever recognizing who Mr. Tweedy is referring to....ELVIS.  At the very bottom of the album below Mr. Tweedy's statement, there is a list of some of the people for whom Mr. Tweedy has done work.  Anyone need any clues as to who one of those people might be...ELVIS!! Of course!!  Mr. Tweedy's career credits are VERY impressive...not someone to put his name on something unless he felt confident about being correct.
It matters not if they were recorded before 1977 or after 1977...or some of both.  Every Elvis fan should have become aware and bought this album when it came out in 1982.  I, myself, had never even heard of this album until I stumbled upon it in a shop specializing in older rare vinyl’s.
One significant thing about this album though, is that the comment by Jerry Lee at the end of "What'd I Say?" has been edited out...not a trace remains. Hm.m.m.m
There is one more very significant fact relating to all of the above.  In the taped phone conversation which Elvis had with Ellen Marie Foster in 1981, he explained to her that it was very hard for him to stop doing something he had done for so long (meaning his music).  He told her that he had some people helping him to continue without coming too far out into the open.  He mentioned that they had made an album...one which he did not think could ever be made before because of contracts, etc.   Does this description by Elvis not ring a bell about the Jerry Lee / Orion scenario?  I have to wonder if "The Killer, The King" was not the album to which Elvis was referring in that conversation.  That tape was the one which came out with Gail’s first book "Is Elvis Alive?" I also want to explain that one of the ladies, who subscribed to my newsletter, was a personal friend of Ellen Marie Foster's.  She knew that Ms. Foster had some “confidential contacts” for lack of a better term.
Also, I must tell you that David Darlock who came on the Geraldo show saying that he made the above mentioned taped phone conversation was a cover up.  He couldn't even imitate a line from the taped conversation.  He recited a line from the song "Mama Liked The Roses".  Remember that Gail had already had the tape authenticated as being Elvis by law enforcement in Texas...Houston, I believe.
You have to understand that in every instance where some tangible proof about Elvis being alive surfaced, someone was always brought in to take the blame (or the credit) for their being the person who people thought was Elvis.   It happened with the pool house door photo...Bill Burke said it was air brushed in and then Joe said it was Al Strada.  Then pressure was put on Mike Joseph to deny that he said what he did about it being Elvis.  He did so, even knowing that his very strong and detailed interview was already out there.  I personally know of someone (related to Elvis) to whom Mr. Joseph offered the photo to "do something with it".  The person refused the photo.
And so that brings us to the subject of the Ali photo...enter Larry Kolb who I have proven not to be the man in the Ali photo.  Please see my page devoted to that photo.  There you will see documentation proving that Larry Kolb is much too tall to be the man in the photo.  The proof is right there in the film of Mr. Kolb walking around on stage at the end of the 2nd Bill Bixby show.  Larry Geller is the same height as Ali and Mr. Kolb tower's over him and everyone else on stage...looks like a giraffe. In fact Mr. Kolb is so tall that it is even mentioned in articles about him.
Then Jimmy Ellis was introduced as being the "friend's" voice on the "Duets" and later on the "Orion" albums.
I want to make one point perfectly clear:  I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT IT WAS ELVIS ON THE MAJORITY OF THE ORION RECORDS.  Jimmy Ellis was a very gifted performer in his own right.
As an aside, In Joe Esposito's book "Celebrate Elvis - Volume 1" on page # 92 Joe gives an account of an event in Las Vegas which proves that Jimmy Ellis was friends with Elvis and Joe.  It took place at a show being done by Jimmy Dean in Las Vegas. Joe, Elvis and Jimmy Ellis were in attendance...saying "...Jimmy Ellis , a big fan of Jimmy Dean's".  There will be a copy of this article, from the book, on my page dedicated to images backing up the words on this page. lindahoodsigmontruth.com/page43
In November of 1991, I received a letter offering the sale of a beautiful lithograph done by Allan Berman. In the letter, it is stated that “Michael Keller, Director of Corporate Communications for Orion Pictures Corporation and a close friend of Elvis Presley states….” See letter @ lindahoodsigmontruth.com/page43
So there you have a thumbnail history of the Orion saga as it relates to Elvis/Jesse.
I should tell you also, Elvis had spoken to his close and trusted friend, Wanda June Hill, about a topic which related to the significance of the constellation ORION in his life.  Suffice to say that there was a very special reasonfor Elvis/Jesse to perhaps choose the name "ORION".
So, now that brings us to the significance of the following movie credits which include Jesse Garon Presley.  Mr. Jarmusch has a work history which includes an Orion Pictures movie which was very much Elvis flavored.  That is the reason that I was so eager to share the fact that Jesse Garon Presley was mentioned in the list of cast and crew.  As you will see, Mr. Jarmusch wrote and directed the movie below:  "Coffee and Cigarettes" in 2003.
The reason that Mr. Jarmusch's mention of Jesse Garon Presley in the list of "THANKS" is so significant is because Mr. Jarmusch was the director and writer of another movie titled "Mystery Train" which was filmed in Memphis.  The Elvis theme is very, very strong in this movie.  This movie was released in 1989.  And guess what!!  Mystery Train was an ORION PICTURES movie!!  This is very telling to me that Mr. Jarmusch may have some insight into things which caused him to write in an Elvis themed segment in "Coffee and Cigarettes" and to choose to list Jesse Garon Presley in the list of crew in the THANKS section.

We all know that Elvis enjoyed comic books growing up.  Recall, in his acceptance speech at the Jaycees award event in 1971,  he spoke these words  "..I read the comic books and I was the hero in the comic books,  I saw the movies and I was the hero in the movies..."
Below is a link to a YouTube video of his speech being given where you will hear him say the above words.  This is not my YouTube video.  The owner of this video is everythingelvis1935 I express my thanks to this person for making this wonderful video available for our enjoyment.
I have displayed evidence above which suggests that Elvis has, perhaps, been involved behind the scenes with Orion Pictures.  Now, I will display evidence that Orion Pictures may have participated in making Elvis "the hero in a comic book" as well.
On the following page, you will see copies from a comic book titled ARMY OF DARKNESS - SHOP TILL YOU DROP DEAD - Hail To The King. The hero in this comic book is definitely portrayed as a caricature of Elvis.
As you will see in the copies on my next page, this comic book is copyrighted by Orion Pictures as well as MGM again.
I hope you will find this interesting and entertaining.

The movie "Finding Graceland" has caused many raised eyebrows.  It is the story of a drifter who claims to be Elvis Presley.  This movie had ties to EPE... some filming was actually done at Graceland.  Priscilla Presley also was involved in the production of this film which many found interesting in that she would be involved in a movie about Elvis being alive.

The thing that I found most interesting about the production of this movie has to do with an Orion Pictures connection.  This movie was produced by Largo Entertainment and TCB Productions.  As you will see below, Largo Entertainment had established an ongoing association with Orion Pictures.
Also, this association began the year before the release of "Finding Graceland" in 1998.

Anyone care to note the date of this "rebirth" announcement by Orion:
Jan. 8, 1997

Posted: Wed., Jan. 8, 1997Three-pic deal includes 'City,' 'This World'

ORION, LARGO PACT

By REX WEINER

Orion Pictures and Largo Entertainment have inked a multipic pact making Orion the domestic distrib in all media for two feature films produced by Largo and another to be co-financed by both companies.

The Largo pics are the John Irvin-helmed crime drama "City of Industry," slated for a March 7 opening, and "This World, Then the Fireworks," directed by Michael Oblowitz and pegged for a summer release after a Sundance film fest premiere.

Orion senior exec VP Steve Stabler confirmed the deal, saying, "This is the formation of a strategic alliance for the production and distribution of feature films by Largo and Orion with a view toward continuing in the future."

Largo chairman Barr Potter told Daily Variety, "This is the culmination of a longterm dialogue. Steve Stabler and (Orion senior exec VP) Brad Krevoy are terrific producers with a proven track record."

Under Orion marketing chief John Hegeman and domestic distribution head Jay Peckos, Orion is understood to be ramping up its motion picture releasing operation with a view toward putting 16 films on U.S. screens this year. Orion had a multipicture deal with Live Entertainment that has ended with Steven Buscemi's "Trees Lounge." But the Largo deal signals the opening of an aggressive acquisitions campaign, according to Krevoy, in order to fill the Orion pipeline.

"This deal sends a message to all filmmakers, especially those at Sundance, that Orion is back into acquisitions," said Krevoy. Orion also has "Ulee's Gold" premiering at Sundance this year.

The facts which I wish to share now are these:
Elvis recorded a song titled "The Last Farewell" during a jungle room session on February 2, 1976.  This title within itself is interesting and quite likely chosen as a message.  Remember, Jesse said that he planned to do "it" in 1976...but chickened out.  This is a hauntingly beautiful song.
The facts which I want everyone to follow through and check out for themselves relates to another movie for which Orion Pictures was the distributor.  This movie was released in 1989. The title of this movie is "Farewell to the King".  The title certainly brings Elvis to mind as well as the title of one of his final songs.
Obviously the two titles fit together VERY nicely.  But to truly understand and appreciate the significance of the song and the movie, one must listen to the song very closely and then watch the movie.  Maybe even pause the movie once in a while and listen to the song again.
THE PLOT OF THE MOVIE AND THE LYRICS OF THE SONG FIT TOGETHER AS IF THEY WERE MADE TO INTERLOCK.  I CANNOT EXPRESS HOW CLOSELY THE TWO ARE PARAELL.
It is very significant also that a number of times, in the movie, comments are made that could certainly be interpreted as being very relevant to Elvis/Jesse pertaining to 1977 and thereafter. Below is an excerpt from an article about the movie connection which I wrote back in the late 80’s and early ‘90’s.  You will see that for the past 21 years I have been speaking the same truth.  That is because the truth never changes.
I believe that I have been acquainted with Elvis/Jesse longer than most of the "Elvis Experts" have even been researching.  I think the problem with the Experts is that they may gather all kinds of facts...but they do not understand Elvis the man...his sense of adventure, his sense of humor, his never ending search for the truth about the spiritual, the depth of his feelings and how important it was for him to convey that to his fans.  They just don't "get it" when it comes to the man rather than the image...they deal only in facts...but Elvis/Jesse is and has always been about "the soul, the spirit"...not the temporary earthly existence.

BELOW IS STILL ANOTHER INSTANCE OF THE NAME "ORION" APPEARING IN CONNECTION WITH ELVIS.

ELVIS ONCE STATED THAT "THERE ARE NO COINCIDENCES. EVERYTHING HAS A MEANING".  I HAVE COME TO FULLY APPRECIATE AND BELIEVE THAT HE WAS CORRECT.

WE MAY NOT UNDERSTAND THE REASON FOR SOMETHING WE ARE GOING THROUGH WHILE WE ARE IN THE MIDST OF SOME UNPLEASANT SITUATION.  BUT AS TIME PASSES AND THE PATTERN BECOMES MORE CLEAR, IN HIND SIGHT, WE CAN SEE THAT EVEN THE BAD THINGS HAVE HAPPENED WHEN THEY SHOULD AND AS THEY SHOULD...FOR A PURPOSE IN OUR LIVES.

WITH THAT IN MIND, I CONTINUE TO STRIVE TO SHARE THE GOOD NEWS ABOUT ELVIS/JESSE.

<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>

The book titled "The Death of Elvis - What Really Happened" was written by two men, Thompson and Cole, who produced the hour long (Geraldo) 20/20 program entitled "The Elvis Cover-up".  These men appeared on talk shows later on relating their "findings".  This book was published in hardback here in the states in 1991 by Delacorte Press, Bantam Doubleday Dell Publishing Group, Inc.

Yes, there was indeed a "cover-up". The "cover-up" was not of what caused Elvis' death.  But rather the fact that there was NO death of Elvis

I state the above only as a means of laying the ground work for the interesting turn of events involving this book and the name "ORION".

This book was published later on, in 1993, by ORION BOOKS LTD,  ORION HOUSE in London.

Below you will see the scanned cover and copyright pages from this book.  This will document that which I have written.

Also, it was no "coincidence" that Joe blurted out on the Geraldo show in June, 1990 "...and that's how Elvis feels about this situation"  That one event proved how inept Geraldo really is as the great investigator he brags of being.  He wasn't even listening to what Joe said...Joe's comment went right over Geraldo's head.

If you look inside the front cover of the hardback copy of the above book, you will see that it specifically spells out that Elvis did not commit suicide and refers to Albert Goldman as the person who told that lie.

Elvis/Jesse does not want anyone to ever think that he committed suicide.  That is why Joe was so aggravated with Albert Goldman and David Stanley on the Geraldo show.

Here are the links to my YouTube videos of Joe on the Geraldo show:  www.youtube.com/watch , www.youtube.com/watch

Also, here is the link to my page dedicated to this show with Joe:  lindahoodsigmontruth.com/page9

Here are copies of the dust cover showing this statement:

Perhaps this is the reason that this book was published by ORION in London.

It is interesting and touching to see that Elvis was wishing to "walk away from it all" as early as 1958 after the loss of his mother.

In the two following excerpts from Pages 101 and 102 of the book Elvis Presley The Man, The Life, The Legend  by Pamela Clarke Keogh you will read that, even that far back, he longed to return to the normal life he  had known.

This following conversation with Dixie Locke took place at Graceland in 1958:

DOWN IN MISSISSIPPI

The song by the above title was released in 1987.  I fell in love with this song because of the lyrics.  This was the very first record that I bought in 1988...before I had any of the Jerry Lee Lewis Duets or Orion records.

I went on a personal campaign to get the radio stations in my area to play the song on the air.  Of course, I had only a little luck.  I visited the stations and got them to listen to the song...but that was all.  Until one Saturday night when a radio station about 30 miles away was having a fund raising event and they would play requests if the callers would make a donation.  So, I phoned the station and asked them if I brought a record to them would they play it on the air if I made a donation and they said "yes" so my husband and I drove to the station immediately.  They did play the song and got some more call ins asking to hear the song again.  So, I felt that I had finally had a little success.

Because I had not heard Elvis sing in recent years, at first, I thought that the record could be Elvis himself.  I still to this day wonder if he is not on there along with "Steven Silver", the name given as being the voice on the record.

I became acquainted, over the phone, with Kenny Wallis the owner of the recording studio in Birmingham, AL. the location where the song was recorded.   Later, while we were visiting in Memphis and Tupelo, we also went to Mr. Wallis' recording studio.  He was a most gracious gentleman who welcomed us and spent most of his afternoon visiting with us...even though we showed up unannounced.  He said that I was the only fan who had actually come to see the studio and to meet him.

I told Kenny about my ongoing mission to get "Down In Mississippi" aired on the stations.  I had been buying extra copies which I was taking and mailing to the stations.  Kenny said if he had known that I was doing that, he would have given me the records.

I told him that it seemed that the stations were taking the song as a joke.  Kenny said "this is no joke, this is serious".  He then took us on a tour of the actual recording studio where he said "maybe Elvis recorded".

Ultimately, the day after I finally got the station to play the song for the fund raiser, I phoned Kenny to tell him my good news.  At that point, Kenny told me that "Steven Silver" was really Jimmy Ellis.  So, I was a little surprised that he told me that after all the time he and I had spent speaking.  But, there were no hard feelings between us.  I still hold Kenny in very high regard. He was such a warm and caring person and could not have been more gracious to me.

I continued to feel very strongly that the lyrics were a message from Elvis.  The lyrics had always spoken to me.  The reason that I was trying so hard to get the song "out there" was because of my belief that Elvis had a hand in recording or certainly inspired the words in the song.

I do still believe that to be so.

So, recently when my dearest friend M J told me about something she read in Ms. Keogh's book (referenced above) it was like the missing piece of the puzzle completed the picture.

I had never been able to figure out why the lyrics state "I was a prisoner of my fame when my Mama died, the Lord seemed to say to me, you need to change your life.  I was much too big to just turn my back and leave.  So I changed the way I look, now no one knows me. Everybody in the world believes the king is gone, but I'm down in Mississippi and it's good to be back home."

As you can see above, from the pages of the book, the song speaks about exactly what he was going through way back then.

Here is the link to a YouTube video of this song in order that you may hear the lyrics all the way through.

Here is a link to a song which was definitely sung by Jimmy Ellis.  There are many, many YouTube videos of the Orion aka Jimmy Ellis performances.  There are only a few Orion songs which I believe are Elvis.

MUCH OF THE ORION PICTURES EVIDENCE POINTING TO ELVIS' INVOLVEMENT POST 1977 WAS FOUND AND SHARED BY ME.  SO, I AM TO BLAME OR CREDIT FOR IT...DEPENDING ON EACH INDIVIDUAL'S SLANT ON THINGS.

This following question and answer, regarding the Orion Pictures material, from an interview between EIN and Phil Aitcheson prompted me to speak up.

I wish to make it perfectly clear that there is NO connection between me and The Presley Commission nor Mr. Aitcheson.

Also, I want to make it clear that I have NEVER said that Elvis appeared in any movie whatsoever.  Those claims stem from others and not from me.  Rather, my movie material indicating that Elvis is involved behind the scenes is substantiated by company credits, crew credits, topics in plots, Elvis music used in the movies, Elvis' friends appearing in a movie or in credits, etc.

Click here: The Presley Commission investigates "is Elvis alive?"

EIN: The whole Orion conspiracy thing appeared to get out of hand with theorists moving the goalposts beyond the singer Orion, and seeing Elvis connections in films released by the Orion Pictures organisation. To many disbelievers it seemed that all rational thinking had flown out the door and an 'anything goes, conspiracy driven' utopian mentality had taken over. What is your response to this perspective?

PA: The Commission was informed some years back about the "alleged" appearances in movies. Admittedly they do possess a certain air of mystery about such possibilities. More importantly, a recent appearance in another film, "Finding Graceland", was examined. The subject was also discussed extensively in Gail Giorgio's book, 'Elvis Undercover'. Consideration was given to all reports.

I want to set the record straight about the much maligned Orion Pictures and Elvis material which I found and reported...with accompanying evidence to back up what I reported.

Beginning back in 1988, I followed a trail of circumstances and events which led me to believe that Elvis was involved with Orion the singer and from there left us a trail to his endeavor with the movie Industry...through Orion Pictures.

Before I published my newsletter beginning in July, 1990, I compiled a report consisting of all of the instances of Orion Pictures correlating to things "Elvis"...also tying into the Jerry Lee Lewis connection to Orion the singer and then leading from the singer over to Orion Pictures.

There was a trail of events which led up to Elvis' culmination of his association with Orion the singer in the form of the album titled "The Killer, The King" in 1982.  Please do see my pages devoted to this topic.   lindahoodsigmontruth.com/page42 and lindahoodsigmontruth.com/page43

The point I wish to make here is that the Orion Pictures material was pretty much "my baby".  I shared much of what I found with Gail Brewer-Giorgio and she used much of it in her book.  You will see references to me by initials, etc. credited with some of my material.  Other uses of my material are credited to "he", etc. rather than credited to me.

Gail phoned one day and asked if she sent a FedEx pickup order would I overnight a copy of my movie report to her.  I immediately agreed.  I was honored to be able to help Gail. I liked Gail and I supported her wholeheartedly...until Jesse told me otherwise years later.

Below I am going to insert a copy of the first page of my movie report.  This seems like a lifetime ago and I look at it now and realize what "baby steps" I was taking then.  But that does not change the facts which I was able to point out regarding Orion Pictures and Elvis.

The following is an enlargement of the most important portion of the above page:

The above is shown only to substantiate that I did much research for many years into Elvis and his possible involvement in a "behind the scenes" way in the movie industry.  There were several other movie companies who were associated to Elvis and Orion Pictures also.  I won't touch on them here as that would just make the whole issue more complicated.

As you will see above and on my pages devoted to these topics, my findings have not changed nor waivered in the past 22 years.  That is because the truth does not change.  If you look up and see a blue sky and the president of the USA tells you that the sky is really orange...that does not change the color of the sky nor does it change the truth which you see for yourself.  Same thing applies to all of my Elvis material.  My truth will not change...ever.

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2010

Those who have visited my page devoted to the Orion material before...especially the Orion Pictures correlations, will recall that I wrote about the synchronicity of the lyrics to one of Elvis's last recorded songs "The Last Farewell" to the plot of the Orion movie "Farewell To The King".  Below is a link to a YouTube video of Elvis's rendition of this hauntingly beautiful song.

I, once more, urge everyone to listen to this magnificent song by Elvis and then check out the Orion movie.  You will be blown away by the many, many correlations.  This song should have been the sound track for this movie.  One only has to consider the similarities of the two titles to immediately see the significance relating to Elvis.

Please do take time to check this out...you will be very happy that you did.  Remember how Jesse recently told us to watch all of his movies for the significant synchronicity of numbers, etc. in them.  Well, if one searches the Orion Pictures movies, many, many instances of Elvis related "coincidences" will be found.

There are some special words spoken here and there in the film...such as:  "I died once.  It meant giving up everything...even the will to live"  "The songs will make you strong and you won't need me any more."  Mention of Big Boots in reference to a little boy wearing a man's boots.  Of course, Elvis's military related movie was G. I. Blues.  On the soundtrack to that movie there was the lullaby type song "Big Boots".

Below the video, I will insert an excerpt from my movies report (Orion Pictures and others) which I compiled mostly back before I began my newsletter.  As you can see, my truth has not varied one iota from the very beginning until today.
