Elvis/Jesse and I did discuss the Orion the singer/Orion Pictures topics. He answered me with an emphatic "YES!!" when I told him that I believed that some of the Orion songs were done by him. I have always known in my heart and mind that I was right about that. I asked him about my having the Orion topics on my web site and he responded favorably.
As you can see, I have removed the word "PROBABLY" from my title for this page.

I have added a portion of the song "What'd I Say?" to this page. Enjoy!! :) Then decide for yourself. Again, my web host's software only allows 10MB while this is a long song. See below for the link to YouTube where you may watch and hear the entire song.
My version playing on this page is with the full unedited end of the song...you will hear what Jerry Lee says.
Please bear in mind when you reach your conclusion that the official statement is that Jimmy Ellis (Orion) over dubbed Jerry Lee's old version of this song. So, who is Jerry Lee speaking to at the end in the fade out? Turn your speakers all the way up and again, judge for yourself. My vote is for Elvis as this song was also on the same Duet's album as the song "Save The Last Dance For Me" which Elvis and Red West both told James Bacon that Elvis did the song "to help Jerry Lee out"...before 1977, of course! :)
But in regard to this particular song, why did they lie later by saying that Jimmy Ellis overdubbed it when it is certainly apparent that the other person on this record was actually present at the recording? Make up your own mind.
My opinion is that Elvis did record some songs and that Shelby Singleton was covering for another reason...possible legal action by RCA. If Elvis had actually recorded these songs before 1977, then he was in breach of contract with RCA. Perhaps some of the songs which Mr. Singleton was releasing on his Sun Records label actually were legally property of RCA. Then too, if Elvis was recording some songs after 1977, it would prove that he is alive and that could still cause legal problems for all involved where the rights to the songs were concerned.
My friend also tells me that Jimmy and Elvis did switch places some times.
It is my firm belief that Jimmy Ellis did act as a cover for Elvis after 1977 which allowed Elvis to record if he wished and probably even made it possible for Elvis to appear in Orion's shows occasionally. As I stated in regard to "Save The Last Dance For Me", I believe that the reason that Elvis told James Bacon the Hollywood columnist that he had recorded that song with Jerry Lee was to prepare a foundation upon which he could perform after he "retired" if he wished to. Elvis must have had a very good reason to tell the columnist that he recorded that song...because by doing so, he risked making it public that he was recording outside of his contract with RCA. Also, Elvis and Jimmy Ellis were friends, as I proved by the page from Joe Esposito's book. I believe that all of the inconsistencies were deliberate to keep the fans and general public confused...to cover for Elvis.
Remember that Elvis said in the 1981 taped conversation that there were people who "helped me to continue without bringing me too far out into the open." Yes, that tape really was Elvis. Again, Darlock was someone brought out to "cover".
Remember also that in that same tape of conversations, Elvis said that they were going to put out an album and that it would be the best. He said that it could not be done before because of contracts. Maybe he was referring to "The Killer, The King". :)Elvis made that statement in 1981 and this ablum came out in 1982. Also, this was at the same time that Jimmy Ellis as Orion was winding down.
Also, you may watch and listen to the entire song on YouTube @
The owner of this video is JerryLeeLewisTV . As you will see, this person also believes that this is "The King". My thanks to this person for compiling and sharing this wonderful version of "What'd I Say?" Please take note also that the last syllable of the comment at the end is chopped off. This is also true of another YouTube video of this very same song. Evidently the source of both these versions was the same.
Also, on "The Killer, The King" album, the entire comment is chopped off right at the end of the music.
Again, please draw your own conclusion based on all of these facts.

Orion Pictures dodges bankruptcy on August 16, 1991

Metromedia deal and beyond
In 1997 MGM acquired Metromedia's studio properties (Orion Pictures, Goldwyn Entertainment and the Motion Picture Corporation of America).
Goldwyn Entertainment traced its origins to Samuel Goldwyn Inc. The Orion Pictures production house had been formed in 1978 as a joint venture between Warner Bros and three former UA executives (inc Arthur Krim) after disputes with UA parent Transamerica. During 1982 Orion merged with tv producer Filmways, Inc. (which owned American International Pictures). Metromedia become majority owner in 1988, after initial investment in 1986. Orion went into bankruptcy in 1992, emerging in 1996.

The movie "Finding Graceland" has caused many raised eyebrows. It is the story of a drifter who claims to be Elvis Presley. This movie had ties to EPE... some filming was actually done at Graceland. Priscilla Presley also was involved in the production of this film which many found interesting in that she would be involved in a movie about Elvis being alive.
The thing that I found most interesting about the production of this movie has to do with an Orion Pictures connection. This movie was produced by Largo Entertainment and TCB Productions. As you will see below, Largo Entertainment had established an ongoing association with Orion Pictures. Also, this association began the year before the release of "Finding Graceland" in 1998.
Anyone care to note the date of this "rebirth" announcement by Orion:

ORION, LARGO PACT
Orion Pictures and Largo Entertainment have inked a multipic pact making Orion the domestic distrib in all media for two feature films produced by Largo and another to be co-financed by both companies.
The Largo pics are the John Irvin-helmed crime drama "City of Industry," slated for a March 7 opening, and "This World, Then the Fireworks," directed by Michael Oblowitz and pegged for a summer release after a Sundance film fest premiere.
Orion senior exec VP Steve Stabler confirmed the deal, saying, "This is the formation of a strategic alliance for the production and distribution of feature films by Largo and Orion with a view toward continuing in the future."
Largo chairman Barr Potter told Daily Variety, "This is the culmination of a longterm dialogue. Steve Stabler and (Orion senior exec VP) Brad Krevoy are terrific producers with a proven track record."
Under Orion marketing chief John Hegeman and domestic distribution head Jay Peckos, Orion is understood to be ramping up its motion picture releasing operation with a view toward putting 16 films on U.S. screens this year. Orion had a multipicture deal with Live Entertainment that has ended with Steven Buscemi's "Trees Lounge." But the Largo deal signals the opening of an aggressive acquisitions campaign, according to Krevoy, in order to fill the Orion pipeline.
"This deal sends a message to all filmmakers, especially those at Sundance, that Orion is back into acquisitions," said Krevoy. Orion also has "Ulee's Gold" premiering at Sundance this year.
Three-pic deal includes 'City,' 'This World'

BELOW IS STILL ANOTHER INSTANCE OF THE NAME "ORION" APPEARING IN CONNECTION WITH ELVIS.
ELVIS ONCE STATED THAT "THERE ARE NO COINCIDENCES. EVERYTHING HAS A MEANING". I HAVE COME TO FULLY APPRECIATE AND BELIEVE THAT HE WAS CORRECT.
WE MAY NOT UNDERSTAND THE REASON FOR SOMETHING WE ARE GOING THROUGH WHILE WE ARE IN THE MIDST OF SOME UNPLEASANT SITUATION. BUT AS TIME PASSES AND THE PATTERN BECOMES MORE CLEAR, IN HIND SIGHT, WE CAN SEE THAT EVEN THE BAD THINGS HAVE HAPPENED WHEN THEY SHOULD AND AS THEY SHOULD...FOR A PURPOSE IN OUR LIVES.
WITH THAT IN MIND, I CONTINUE TO STRIVE TO SHARE THE GOOD NEWS ABOUT ELVIS/JESSE.
<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>
The book titled "The Death of Elvis - What Really Happened" was written by two men, Thompson and Cole, who produced the hour long (Geraldo) 20/20 program entitled "The Elvis Cover-up". These men appeared on talk shows later on relating their "findings". This book was published in hardback here in the states in 1991 by Delacorte Press, Bantam Doubleday Dell Publishing Group, Inc.
Yes, there was indeed a "cover-up". The "cover-up" was not of what caused Elvis' death. But rather the fact that there was NO death of Elvis.
This all played in Elvis/Jesse's favor though...in that it solidified the fact that Elvis really did die. Reinforcing the truth of his death in the public's mind.
I state the above only as a means of laying the ground work for the interesting turn of events involving this book and the name "ORION".
This book was published later on, in 1993, by ORION BOOKS LTD, ORION HOUSE in London.
Below you will see the scanned cover and copyright pages from this book. This will document that which I have written.

Also, it was no "coincidence" that Joe blurted out on the Geraldo show in June, 1990 "...and that's how Elvis feels about this situation" That one event proved how inept Geraldo really is as the great investigator he brags of being. He wasn't even listening to what Joe said...Joe's comment went right over Geraldo's head.
If you look inside the front cover of the hardback copy of the above book, you will see that it specifically spells out that Elvis did not commit suicide and refers to Albert Goldman as the person who told that lie.
Elvis/Jesse does not want anyone to ever think that he committed suicide. That is why Joe was so aggravated with Albert Goldman and David Stanley on the Geraldo show.
Here are the links to my YouTube videos of Joe on the Geraldo show: www.youtube.com/watch , www.youtube.com/watch.
Also, here is the link to my page dedicated to this show with Joe: lindahoodsigmontruth.com/page9
Here are copies of the dust cover showing this statement:

Perhaps this is the reason that this book was published by ORION in London.
